== Origin ==
The meme started in September 2020 when Card0 complained about [[The Resurgence]] of a bad Billy Joel parody at the Wellcome supermarket, eventually finding out that it belonged to a new rewards club programme called YUU. The song he learnt, was sung by famous Hong Kong singer George Lam who had sang his own Cantonese version of Uptown Girl in the 1980s.

The meme would pick up when Card0 began complaning about it on his page, leading to [[memes.hk]] and [[hkschoolmemes]] both making fun of his hatred of it giving more attention to both the meme and its popularity.

Following the [[March Reforms]], [[Bossuuu]] would popularise YUU with the creation of [[Yuu-Chan]] (who technically had been created in February 2021 for an art competition hosted by Card0). YUU would also become a sticker in the server around the same time period. Furthermore, it also spread to the [[MRT Server]] much to Card0's hatred.
