The Resurgence is the official Group chat for Hongkongggag. Two iterations exist: a WhatsApp version which was created in 2019, and a Signal version which was created in 2021. However since the March Reforms, the group chat has become less and less relevant. While the WhatsApp version is still semi-active, the Signal chat is dead. In late 2024, the chat was reopened to those Vice and above as a fun extension of the community, though this had no intention of raising the chat's activity, and the group remained largely semi-active to inactive.
Many of those in the chat, are considered some of the community's Old Guard, either orthodox yellow ribbons or progressive yet orthodox yellow ribbons.
