Xianggangggag

Xianggangggag is an Instagram page by Aqua parodying Hongkongggag which posts memes making fun of Card0, alongside other "pro-CCP" memes and memes about the 852 Resurgence community. Much of Xianggangggag's memes are based on formats used by Hongkongggag, such as Satirical Maps, while some also use original formats or formats popular on the wider internet.

As of September 15, 2022, the page has 64 followers and 23 public posts.

History

On April 30, 2022, Aqua decided to prank Card0 by making an Instagram alt and posting a stock image of an old man, tagging Hongkongggag. Card0, who initially thought the page was run by Wouldntglidingbefaster, asked multiple times for the owner's identity in Instagram direct messages. Aqua instead gave spam answers which led to the page being blocked by Hongkongggag.

Later that day, Aqua and Wouldntglidingbefaster were attempting to post the YUUBLE in the #faction-propaganda channel in 852 Resurgence, however their posts were repeatedly deleted by Card0. He decided to make a post on another alt he had, by posting a random screenshot of Google Street View with the YUUBLE pasted in the caption, also tagging Hongkongggag. This account was also blocked, however it was unblocked at Aqua's request a few days later for commenting reasons.

After the second alt was blocked, Aqua made a third account with the username rad_h2101, however it was automatically blocked from Hongkongggag until the second block was reversed. The first post, a video about the YUUBLE, was made on May 1. As of May 8, the video had 14 views. The page stayed inactive until May 7, when Aqua started sending joke "submissions" for Hongkongggag memes in 852 Resurgence, including parodies of Satirical Maps, which all labelled Hong Kong as being part of the People's Republic of China. Aqua then started posting these memes on the account, which was later renamed Xianggangggag. Each meme tagged the Hongkongggag account and included hashtags copied from Hongkongggag posts. He started posting memes based on Hongkongggag's school meme format, with one of them comparing the 852rSMP factions Yuutopia and New Estonia. It was later liked by the Hongkongggag page itself.

• The name Xianggangggag is a parody of Hongkongggag's name using the Pinyin name of Hong Kong (xiāng gǎng).
• Xianggangggag's Instagram bio is a parody of that of Hongkongggag, however it is rewritten to fit the page's "pro-CCP" tone.
• The page is followed by Hongkongggag, which has also collaborated with the page before.
