Card0 is the Founder and current owner of Hongkongggag. He was the first staff member and the main face and admin of Hongkongggag.

Personality

It is shown via Card0's long-term dedication towards hongkongggag that he has a deep passion and devotion towards his interests. Being an integral part of the community since 2018, Card0 has seldom been reserved in his activity throughout the years, maintaining the Instagram page on a daily basis and creating a constant supply of content. Card0 is also one of the most active people on 852 Resurgence, often participating in many events and discussions, showing his ardour towards the community.

Card0's core principles revolve primarily around respect, responsibility and justice. As demonstrated in his constant interaction with all members of different ranks and levels of activity, even going as far to personally greet new members to the Discord server, Card0 strongly prioritizes his responsibility as a leader. It is made apparent through his frequent involvement in community affairs that Card0 takes his leadership with a high level of seriousness, believing that all members should be respected and wrongs must be righted. However, he has shown to be overindulgent in his work, being active in as many areas of the community to the point where one might call his idea of responsibility a conflation with obsession.

Card0's idea of respect leads him to act lenient and soft around others. When trying to mediate a situation, he seldom approaches forcibly and attempts to avoid argument as much as possible, even at the expense of effective leadership. It is possible that this value is related to Card0's strong disdain for conflict directed towards him, as he has mentioned that he "doesn't like drama."

Card0's inherent dislike for discord might be related to his low tolerance towards pressure. Throughout various disagreements and reforms in the community, Card0 has shown to respond poorly under strong pressure from other members, often showing signs of significant stress and finding difficulty in containing his emotions when in conflict. As a result, Card0 feels a strong obligation to satisfy others by fulfilling his duties, and as such is prone to making abrupt and sudden decisions without the consultation of other staff members.

Hong Kong Political Leanings

Card0 is a moderate yellow ribbon and strongly favors a democratic Hong Kong. However, he is cautious about comparatively localist and radical sectors of the pan-democracy camp and believes independence to not be a good option. He speaks out against radically xenophobic attitudes of certain yellow ribbon views.

According to Card0, his ideal Hong Kong is one with high autonomy within a democratic China. His opinions have led to some arguments with a few people on Instagram though the community at large remains supportive of his ideals towards Hong Kong.

More recently, Card0 has spoken out against oversensationalist news about Hong Kong as well as what he deems as "overreactions" even from other members and partners of the page. He has also developed a hardline pro LGBT and anti xenophobia stance, which have angered some who follow the page.

Responsibilities

Instagram Page

Card0 is the main administrator of the Instagram page. The majority of content is attributed to him.

Managing the instagram page is mandatory for Card0 as the founder and current leader of the staff team.

Community Leader

As the founder and the leader of the staff team, he has all responsibilities of a staff member.

Final Decision on Community Affairs

As the founder, Card0 has the final say on all major decisions that affect the community.

However if a majority of the community disapproves of a decision, it can be overturned. This has only happened once, during the McNutty Ban Crisis, although a vote was not held and rather community opinion pushed Card0 to unban ImMcNutty.

Trivia

• Card0's "actual" age is a repeating joke within the community, being referred as "old" by various members. He has been claimed to be 53, 80, 19371 and "older than time itself".
  • It is also joked that Card0 has dementia as a result of his old age.
  • This may partially be due to Card0's habit of sleeping earlier than most members.
  • Several members, including Hill and Aqua joked about "unplugging" him from life support.
  • However, on May 29th 2022, Card0 asked the community to tone down the joke due to him not finding the joke as funny as it was before.
  • The joke was banned on September 11th 2022, due to mental health issues and Card0 being tired of being targeted by the joke. Hongkongggag parody page Xianggangggag also archived their posts about the joke at Card0's request.
