Vista was a former member and admin of 852 Resurgence. He served from October 2019 to March 2021 and took a break between September 2020 and March 2021.

History

Vista joined on the first day alongside Drea and Salmon. His technical skills earned him a good reputation within The Resurgence. According to Card0, talk about a promotion to Admin between Card0 and Vista began before the Christie Incident. During the Christie Incident, Vista along with DJKP attempted to retrieve Card0's control of the Instagram page. As a result, Vista was promoted to Admin several weeks later in October.

In the fourth quarter of 2019, Vista created the Resurgence Bot, which was well-recieved by members who suggested commands. He also ran a Minecraft Server. Later on, during the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020, Rei drew close to him, something that led Rei to eventually leave the community a few months after Vista resigned.

With the National Security Law enacted in July 2020, Vista pushed for the group to go more underground by privating the page. He also heavily suggested moving the group chat to Signal, which was officially done in February of 2021.

In September 2020, a heated debate about religion took place. In the aftermath, Vista announced that he was taking a break due to how much of an echo chamber the group had become. He appeared a few times throughout his break, but did not partake in any major activites Template:Clarity. Vista claimed that he would return after his graduation.

In March 2021, Vista announced his resignation, outlining many of his issues with the community. Soon after, Vista left all affiliated community platforms. However, Vista briefly returned to the Signal group chat in May to help with RTHK archiving efforts.

On the day of the 4th anniversary on July 18th 2022, Vista returned to the server after being sent an invite by Card0. However, he has remained inactive and would leave the server sometime in mid 2023.

Legacy

Despite Vista only being active in the Whatsapp Eras, his legacy is still present, as his departure directly led to the March Reforms which would help set the guidelines for the server going forward. Moreover, Card0 would often reference Vista as being one of the most prominent members in the community's history. Recently however, Card0 would question the full reasons as to why Vista really left, as he believed he was never given a clear answer. He also said that he would hate what the server had become, as he seemed to preferred small and tight knit communities.

Trivia

• There was a allegedly a "Max Security Bot" attributed to Vista. However, its existence has not been verified.
  • Rei, the only person put into Max Security has not confirmed the existence of the bot.
