Democratic Socialist Alliance

The Democratic Socialist Alliance was a party originally founded by friedchilli in the Tsz Kong Political Sim.

History

For the longest time, in what arguably could be said was the party’s peak, Thoth, a Mediator in 852 Resurgence, served as leader. He put the party through a renaming from the Radical Party and drastically altered their beliefs both then and throughout the rest of his time in the sim. Thoth became President of Tsz Kong in January 2023 and served two terms, running and acting on a leftist platform and against toxicity throughout. He even tried to propose a new constitution for Tsz Kong at the end of his presidency, viewing the old one as too vague, incomplete, and easy to abuse. Unfortunately, it didn’t pass. Thoth would leave the sim shortly after his presidency ended, largely due to Pixel’s passive aggressive behavior wearing him down from dealing with it, initially passing it off to Frogggggg, but later giving it to Aqua.

The DSA is a Left-aligned Democratic Socialist party. Its specific beliefs varied greatly over time. As the Radical Party, it believed in Radical Democracy, Worker’s Rights, and power to the people. Upon its renaming, these were changed to more clear terms. It later merged with the Tsz Kong Greens to form the Democratic Socialist Greens, the major centre-left party in Tsz Kong at the time of writing.
