852MUN was a model United Nations event hosted online by Saera, Sleepy and Hill, it was first announced in April 2024, and was hosted on July 20th 2024.

HRC

The Human Rights Council (HRC) simulation focused on the Jammu-Kashmir conflict.

Delegate Nation Represented Role/Actions
India Claims the entire region of Jammu and Kashmir; maintains a significant military presence; revoked Article 370 in 2019, which granted special autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir; conducts counter-insurgency operations against militant groups.
Pakistan Claims Jammu and Kashmir based on the Muslim majority population; supports separatist movements and militant groups; administers parts of the region known as Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan; engages in diplomatic efforts to internationalize the issue.
China Controls Aksai Chin, a region claimed by India; involved due to border disputes and strategic interests in the region; supports Pakistan diplomatically; involved in skirmishes with Indian forces along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) Pakistan-based terrorist organization that seeks to merge Jammu and Kashmir with Pakistan; responsible for numerous attacks on Indian military and civilian targets.
Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) Another Pakistan-based terrorist organization with similar goals as JeM; involved in high-profile attacks such as the 2008 Mumbai attacks; targets Indian forces and infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.
Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) Indigenous Kashmiri militant group seeking independence from India or merger with Pakistan; operates mainly within Jammu and Kashmir and targets Indian security forces.
