Polaris is a Moderator of 852 Resurgence.

History

Polaris first joined on May 24th 2022. She soon gained a reputation for helping others with their studies, as well as being very active in the Debates channel.

Due to her helpfulness, she would be nominated and promoted to Moderator in April 2023.

Personality

Polaris often offers thoughtful, often empathetic responses, especially in more serious discussions. She provides support to others dealing with family or academic stress and shares her own experiences, such as her time in the UK and her brother's educational challenges. Furthermore, Polaristends to be logical and measured in her opinions, whether discussing cultural issues, staff budgets for dinners, or disciplinary measures. In addition, she also shows a reflective side, acknowledging her own privileges and challenges.

Server Beliefs

Polaris is a more left-leaning member of the Staff team, like most of the Staff, however she also represents a more technocratic perspective in the sense that she advocates for more calculated moves when it comes to judging what's best for the server. In addition, she has also pushed for the study-aspects of the server, such as with university advisory sessions, something that she has in common with many of the other Medical students in the server such as Blep.
